co-curricular at RGS

Nusery School

Co-curricular activities take what students are learning in the classroom and build upon that through talent shows, performances, competitions, clubs and additional classroom work.

These clubs and activities encourage our students to delve deeper into activities and subject areas that they are passionate about. Across all the innovation, extra-curricular, or co-curricular activities, our primary goal is to incite passion and provide a fun way for students to discover and embrace the spirit of relentless learning, inside as well as outside the classroom, so they can identify with different interests, passions and personalities.

The innate and developing talents of the child in a host of fine arts and performing arts activities is developed through the Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) programme, which is supervised by highly qualified instructors and artists in the respective field.

Junior School for classes1-6

The Co-Curricular clubs and activities that are on offer in Junior School are many and varied, ranging from sport to craft, through to music and academic reinforcement. Each member of staff offers at least one club on a weekly basis and these occur on a fixed day (Wednesday) of the week. They do vary from term to term though.

In the Junior School, every pupil is attached to one of the four Junior School Houses; Ganda, Brahmaputra, Yamuna and Narmada. This provides a competitive incentive in games, conduct and work.

Pupils participate in a wide variety of activities throughout their time at the School. Pursuits range from Chess Club to Music Club and there are many activities and societies that operate during Zero period and after school.

Visits from field trips, joint activities with other local schools and excursions to museums all assist in developing pupils’ interests and enthusiasms, as well as further broadening the range of experiences that begin to shape their young lives.

Senior School

Our students’ School experience is enriched at each stage by the provision of an extensive range of co-curricular opportunities.

In the Senior School students are members of one of four Houses who challenge for the House Trophy involving around 50 events over the School year. Sporting, artistic, dramatic and musical activities operate on both School and House tiers and over 10 non-sporting clubs and societies operate in the Senior School.

A Community Service Programme is a fundamental part of School life and includes ongoing voluntary work and fundraising events. Students have voluntarily contributed and raised funds and clothes for poor kids working brickfields.

Our reputation for academic success is founded on encouraging carefully planned choices of courses that suit your abilities and play to your strengths.
